Abstract
Purpose: Attention is the basis of motor and mental behavior and movement improves concentration and attention. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of jumping movements using trampolines and computer games on motor performance and improve attention of children with developmental coordination disorders.
Method: The research method was experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the present study was 7 - 10 year old children in girls' primary schools in Kerman Using the Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire - Parental Version and Motion Assessment Test for Children, out of 121 children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), 45 children with Developmental Coordination Disorder with a mean age )8.13±1/1years) Available were selected as samples were randomly assigned to three groups 15; two experimental groups and one control group Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire - Parental Version, MABC-2 test was used to assess motor performance and Connors questionnaire was used to assess attention. The training intervention was performed three sessions per week for eight weeks. The control group did not receive any training program
Results: The results of the present study showed that the mean post-test scores of the experimental groups were significantly improved compared to the control group, including fine skills, gross skills, motor function balance and attention.
Conclusion: Cognitive development interacts with movement and physical activity. The results of the present study showed that exercise interventions improve motor function and attention in children with developmental coordination disorders.
