Purpose: The present study was the effect of positive motivational-deductive feedback with stereotyped and non-stereotyped conditions on motivation to participate in physical activity and self-efficacy of beginner girls.
Methods: Participants of this study was 36 people (mean age 14.2 and standard deviation 3.33) who were randomly divided into 3 groups of 12 people and each group practiced futsal skills according to their specific circumstances. In the case of stereotypes, the subjects were told that men are better than you, but in the next step, they were told that your performance was better than men. You are better than men.
Results: The results of analysis of covariance for both variables showed that there was a significant difference between the three groups in promoting motivation and self-efficacy (p <0.05), so that the stereotyped group was better than the non-stereotyped group and the non-stereotyped was also better than the control group.
Conclusion: Overall, our results showed that stereotyped conditions along with positive analytical motivational feedback affect women's motivation and self-efficacy, and coaches can use them in training and sports environments to increase motivation and self-efficacy in athletes and help their active lives.
