Abstract

The purpose of this study, we compare the visual skills of the elite athletes in the rocket and non-rocket. The study included all athletes and sports teams Khorasan Razavi (1392) in a series of rocket (table tennis, badminton, tennis and squash) and non-rocket field (futsal, handball, basketball and volleyball), respectively. Skilled athletes in all of the sampling method (n = 99). The study was causal-comparative method. To collect visual data variables, static visual acuity, depth perception, NPC, near point adaptation, contrast sensitivity, and central peripheral awareness was measured by the tests. Laboratory measurements of optometry, School of Allied Medical Sciences, Mashhad. To test the hypothesis KS statistical methods and independent t-test was used. The results showed that the mean scores of the components of depth perception, peripheral vision and central visual acuity, contrast sensitivity and convergence of different groups are significantly different. So that athletes and non-athletes rocket to rocket higher performance scores were higher. The results indicated that the performance of athletes and non-athletes rocket to rocket it can be concluded that the performance of the rocket due to hereditary factors and factors related practice or sport them. The results of this study can be expressed employment practice in sports that require good run at optimal performance on the visual component is can lead to performance improvement in vision.
