Abstract
The purpose of this study was to the effect of attention and self-consciousness on accuracy of performance penalty kick in the novice athletes. In this study which is a semi empirical research, 48 female student selected then, they organized into four groups of experiment in self-consciousness (high/less) and attention (relevant/ irrelevant) conditions. The tools which were used included penalty kick, self-consciousness scale to measure of subject. This study include 8 week and per week was 2 session and per session was 4 block that per block was 4 attempt (per session was 16 attempt) .Data were analyzed using 2-way analysis of variance and depend and independent t test. Result showed that all group have progress in accuracy after the 8 week practice even more there was a significant difference between score of penalty kick in relevant and irrelevant groups (p < 0.05). And both group of relevant- high self-consciousness and relevant- low self-consciousness beter than other groups (p < 0.05). But no significant between relevant- high self-consciousness and relevant- low self-consciousness groups (p≥0.05). This finding suggest that relevant attentional beter for novice athletes and probably the rate of self- consciousness cannot effect on the performance.
