Abstract
Abstract
Introduction: Psychological characteristics and somatic promotes the quality of and athletic performance the performance and their higher is in competitions.
Objective: This research investigates the relationship emotional intelligence Sport Success and somatotype Iranian elite kabaddi player's national team.
Methodology: The research statistical population consisted of 28 players invited to Iranian kabaddi national team camp. The instruments used in this research Emotional intelligence questionnaire Lan et al and Sport Success questionnaire sporting success Vaez Mousavi and et al and to measure the somatotype was used of Isaac the Society Criteria. Analysis of the data this research of statistical methods mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient and independent t test were used.
Results: The result showed there is positive correlation between some subscales of emotional intelligence and sport success (p<0.05) Conclusion:: It seems that emotional intelligence as an effective factor in sport success can promotoe sport performance. In addition, when the somatotype is relatively similar in different individulas, it could not be regarded as an effective factor for selecting the player and/or success in a group.
