The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of self-talk on attention and performance of athletes of Iran’s national archery team. 24 people selected randomly among male and female athletes of the national archery team and divided in into control and experimental groups(each group 12 persons). Pre-test of the attention were taken in two conditions without interruption with the driver of distracting and with stimulus..The experimental group received self-talk training and did not pay to Practical Exercise.Mixed analysis of variance with the assumption of sphericity Machel test showed that, self-talk effect between groups and the effect of pre-test and post-test performance was significant in Women's Compound but in women’s Rykerv, the effect of pre-test and post-test and their interaction was significant, but the self-talk effect was not significant. None of the effects were not significant for Men's Compound, in man’s rykrv, Effect of pre-test and post-test and interaction was significant but the effect of self-talk was not significant. During attention without interruptions in women the effect of pre-test and post-test and interaction effect was significant and during interruptions, just effect of pre-test and post-test was significant for women. In men, without interruptions and interruptions just the effect of pre-test and post-test was significant.
