[English]

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between cardiorespiratory endurance and speed on the decision-making accuracy of Premier Futsal League referees with the mediation of mental toughness.
Methods: In this study, 123 referees (37 women and 86 men) participated voluntarily. The referees completed a mental toughness questionnaire, and then took part in a speed and endurance test, and finally their decision-making accuracy evaluated through a developed video test.
Results: Path analysis results using PLS software showed a significant positive relationship between cardiorespiratory endurance and the decision-making accuracy of futsal referees (P=0.001, T=0.034, b=0.370). There was also a significant positive relationship between cardiorespiratory endurance and the mental toughness of futsal referees (P=0.001, T=0.034, b=0.420). Mental toughness was found to play an important positive mediating role between cardiorespiratory endurance and decision-making accuracy (P=0.039, T=0.072, b=0.070). Additionally,  a significant negative relationship was found between physical readiness speed and decision-making accuracy of futsal referees (P=0.001, T=0.353, b=0.330). However, no significant relationship was found between physical readiness speed and mental toughness of futsal referees (P=0.616, T=0.502, b=0.050).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that both speed and cardiorespiratory endurance play important roles in the decision-making accuracy among referees, and mental toughness also plays a significant positive mediating role between cardiorespiratory endurance and decision-making accuracy.
