[English]

Purpose: Sports Vision training is a set of techniques for developing visual function. the present study aims to investigate the effect of sports vision training on the eye movements of children with ADHD.
Methods: In this semi-experimental study, 27 male students (average age=8.55±1.08 years old) with ADHD were randomly selected and they were divided into experimental and control groups after filling out the Conners questionnaire and clinical psychiatric interviews. At first, the horizontal and vertical saccades and Near-Far-Near (NFN) tests were performed as pre-test by means of the HART CHART of the subjects. Afterward, the experimental group performed the sports vision training during 12 sessions (three sessions a week about 30 minutes), but the control group didn’t perform any intervention. In the end, the subjects performed a post-test.
Results: The results of mixed ANOVA showed that the experimental group's horizontal and vertical saccades and NFN improved with sports vision training in all three variables (P≤0.005). Independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups in the horizontal and vertical saccades and NFN tests.
Conclusions: Sports vision training significantly improves eye movements in children with ADHD.
