Abstract
The purpose of this study was to design a model for the development of professional identity of physical education teachers with an interpretive structural approach. This research is applied in terms of purpose and the data were collected and coded qualitatively through library studies. Finally, the components were included in the structural self-interaction form and were provided to experts as a questionnaire for pairwise comparison and interaction determination. After completing it, the ISM technique was used to structure the components. Findings showed that in the model of professional identity development of physical education teachers, there are 15 components and 53 indicators in individual, professional, contextual, socio-cultural, welfare and economic dimensions and the components were structured in six levels. The components of professional orientation, physical-psychological and professional knowledge were at the lowest level and the components of task orientation and professional commitment were at the first level of the interpretive structural model of the research. It can be said that physical education teachers have the ability to create effective training opportunities, specialization in teaching various sports. achieving the basic components of teachers' professional identity. Smooth and access to the basic components will facilitate the formation or strengthening of other components of the development of the professional identity of physical education teachers
