Abstract
Purpose: The primary purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a course of biofeedback interventions on the psychological skills among teenagres.
Methods: The current research was a semi-experimental study with two experimental and control groups. Its statistical population was made up of teenagers in the age range of 14 to 18 years in district one of Tehran. The statistical sample included 20 teenagers (10 girls and 10 boys) who were available, selected, and randomly placed in two groups of 10 people, mindfulness and control. The Ottawa Mental Skills Assessment Tool was used to measure the psychological characteristics of people.
Results: The results showed all three effects of stage, group and interaction were significant. The results of the concentration recovery variable showed that all three effects of the stage and interaction, were significant, but the effect of group was not significant.
CONCLUSION: The results showed that the experimental group had significantly higher psychological skills than the control group. Therefore, biofeedback exercises can be used as a complementary method to improve psychological performance.
